The third arc, Strings, began on October 15, 2019. The second arc, Waves, began on May 28, 2019. The first arc, Dust, began on November 14, 2018. The comic is released roughly once a month, every four issues comprising one story arc. Chloe decides to take Max back to Arcadia Bay in the hopes of solving this mystery. However, things start to go wrong after Max sees a television report about Arcadia Bay, causing her to lose control of her powers. One year after the end of the first game, where Arcadia Bay was destroyed, Max and Chloe have moved to Seattle and are living normal lives. The series is written by Emma Vieceli with artwork by Claudia Leonardi and colors by Andrea Izzo. The physical editions are now available for pre-order from Square Enix's website.Life Is Strange is a comic series which takes its cues from the "Sacrifice Arcadia Bay" ending of Life Is Strange, essentially acting as a Sequel in Another Medium for that ending (albeit in a What If? one not to be taken as definitively canon, as stated in the foreword). It's not entirely clear if that means you've already paid for it when you purchase the physical disc and can download it for free, but you can get the last episode on December 3rd regardless of your location. "Episode 5 will be supplied as a download on all platforms," the announcement reads. Take note, though, that while the Square Enix listing says the physical disc contains the "Complete Season," it actually only contains Episodes 1 to 4.
In the announcement posted on the official Life is Strange blog, the team behind the game explained that "different countries have different requirements when it comes to rating the content on the discs," and they chose to release at different times instead of rolling the game out to all regions in February. Meanwhile, the Collector's Edition also comes with a hardcover artbook, vinyl figurines and a nice box to keep all those in.īoth editions will be available in Europe on December 3rd, 2019, just in time for the holidays - those in the Americas will have to wait until February 4th, 2020. The Standard Edition only includes Life is Strange 2 itself, Arcadia Bay Patches and a bonus game from the companies entitled The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit. Dontnod and Square Enix are releasing a Standard Edition and a Collector's Edition of the game, like what they did for its predecessor.
